Before the winter weather officially arrived we were able to sneak in another high school grad shoot for the oh so sweet Indya Brown. Gorgeous girl+ beautiful day = my favorite kind of session! Her natural ability in front of the camera, and her sweet personality made for a truly delightful shoot!

My sister Mary has always been my main model! Ever since I can remember she has been beyond her years in fashion sense and a natural in front of the camera! During my years of Photography School, she became my model for the numerous projects I had to execute. She graduated high school recently, and is preparing to go to Aveda Institute, in Chapel Hill, to study Hair & Cosmetology, so in honor of graduation we took some time to do a photo shoot!

Last week we embarked on the journey of Matt & April's engagement shoot! Jumping over fences, traipsing through fields, & dodging tree branches were a few of the obstacles we overcame all in the name of photos! I always love the couples that are adventurous. The beautiful couple along with April's incredibly adorable daughter, Katelynn, made for some sweet pics!

Last week Paul and I had the opportunity to travel to Denver, Colorado. We visited my brother and sister-in law (Jesse & Heather), and co-led a a worship music night with them at their church, JFC. What an amazing time! I can't say enough about J & H, and their incredible love for Jesus and other people. This past June their family suffered the loss of their newborn baby boy, Croix. After already birthing three beautiful children, it was a tragedy that none of us expected.
They are worship pastors at their church, but at sweet baby Croix's memorial service I then realized just how true their hearts are as worshippers. Despite the heaviness of this event, they had a time of praise and worship. During this time through my own tears and lack of hope I looked over at them to find them with lifted hands in total surrender, in the midst of unimaginable pain. It made me realize many things, but I just thought, "this God has to be real, for people to want to praise him during a time like this." It seems like the last thing you would want to do is "praise the Lord". But they haven't wavered in their faith, it's just the opposite. Their love has grown deeper, and their relationship with God stronger. They will tell you their healing & strength have only come from him. Their testimony is one that just amazes me whenever I think about it!
We had a few minutes to sneak some photos in along the way! Rushed as they were, we got some beautiful shots, simply because their family is gorgeous!
