So. This is the story. My husband Paul and I are the music pastors at our church in High Point (Triad Community Church). While at a conference a couple years ago, we heard a song called “How He Loves”, written by John Mark Mcmillan. It totally rocked our world. When we got home we looked it up on YouTube, & found a band that covered it, known as Jesus Culture. Their music & the passion embedded in their songs changed our lives, and the way we thought about “church music”. From there we discovered Brian & Jen Johnson & Bethel Church, the ministry from which Jesus Culture is based out of. As avid fans of these ministries, we found ourselves constantly watching ibethel.tv, & became addicted to their website & music updates. This is when we discovered on their site that they offer a School, at which all of our music heroes would be teaching & training. We felt if we went, it would be life changing. It didn’t disappoint.

I can hardly begin to say all the awesome things we encountered while we were there, but I will say that I have never experienced God’s love more. It’s like when you get a taste of something and you just can’t get enough. That’s how it is with Jesus and his presence in my life. It’s is not an empty religion with a God who doesn’t care, He is real and His love for us is real.

While we were there God totally showed us favor. Through a songwriting class we had the opportunity to play a song we had written for Brian Johnson, at which we were then asked to lead this song on graduation night for the church & all of the worship students! It was one of the best experiences of my life. Sometimes I still think maybe it was a dream. This December the Bethel Live 2 CD is coming out, and our song "God of the Redeemed" will possibly be on it!

So these are some of our pics from the trip, and a little fun photo shoot I got to do along the way!
